Alarm Clock (towards falling apart)
Amaryllis R. Flowers, 2019
78 in x 91 in
Gouache, acrylic, airbrush, and glow-in-the-dark sculpy on paper

Large scale drawing on paper, made to hang like a tapestry.  There is a femme giant guarding the opening of a cave.  She and the whole picture are painted in gray-scale, coming in and out of visibility depending on light. The mouth of the cave opens into a hot peach sunrise sky. Her body is covered in gray eyes and blue ghost eyes hovering on her skin in iridescent silhouettes. The cave glows with a warm pink flame, and her large crooked bone sword sits at her hip with ease, pointing towards the exit.
