A Ghost Was a Body Once

Gouache, watercolor, colored pencil, marker, graphite, and collage on paper

Small drawing on paper. A thick femme figure lays down in slumber on a ground of flame and shadow.  Electric blue dream roses grow through her disappearing body and out of her thighs. Her face and limbs are painted in fluorescent browns, one arm a stark white full of symbols for everyday cosmologies. The number zero on her stomach opens into a hole from which midnight colored ghosts with x-ray skeletons fly out. Arching over her body is a rainbow silhouette rooting into her feet and head, and covered in gazing black and white eyes.
